Management has absolute operational autonomy and the Board of Directors exercises a clear supervisory role comprising the Bank’s strategy, performance and control mechanisms.

Mr Janahi is also a member of the Bahrain Economic Development Board of Bahrain, Vice Chairman of the Arab Business Council of the World Economic Forum and Member of the Board of the Centre for International Business and Management (CIBAM), University of Cambridge, United Kingdom. Mr Janahi is from Bahrain.

Ziad Rawashdeh

Previously Chief Executive of Faisal Finance (Switzerland) SA, Mr Rawashdeh is currently present Chief Operating Officer of DMI and Member of the Board of most companies of the Group, including Ithmaar Bank B.S.C where he is Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors. Mr Rawashdeh is Jordanian.

Founded the Group which pioneered Islamic Banking and contributed to the creation of Faisal Finance (Switzerland) SA in 1981- which became Faisal Private Bank in 2006. Previously with Credit Suisse, BSI, BNP, UBS. Swiss nationality.

William Burkle

Previously with Credit Suisse. Member of the Board since 2001. Swiss nationality.

Gilbert Coutau

Member of the Board of Directors

Previously (and consecutively) member of the two chambers of the Swiss national Parliament - Conseil National and Conseil aux Etats. Was also Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Geneva. Member of the Board since 2000. Swiss nationality.


PricewaterhouseCoopers is the designated banking auditor of Faisal Private Bank, in accordance with articles 18 and following of the Swiss banking law.
